I like it a lot. I've put over 90 hours into it.

It's essentially more of the same. Some slight improvements to the battle system and an edgelord story that oddly for a Disgaea game takes itself seriously. The shitty thing is that a huge chunk of post game was dlc.

Is it still super grindy? Ive only tried one (2 or 3?) and couldnt really get into it

It's really good. Doesn't feel as grindy as the others but it's got a shitload of features. It's definitely the biggest Disgaea. I'd rate it pretty highly

The main story isn't, and in this one the story is long enough that you could do just that and be satisfied. But the whole point of this series is the postgame super grind where you can get the stats to ridiculous levels.

I do find it a bit of a slog to go through the main story. It's not too difficult, and there are a lot of crazy mechanics that contribute to the damage, ultimately, and like some units just really really struggle. I try to enhance their damage, but it's just gonna be on the matter of eventually getting the right evilities and equipments enhanced by item world. But a lot of units are just noticeably much much better than others.

It's more of a critique of the entire series, but the experience just feels... lopsided

But I did hear after you get through the main story, the game is just significantly better
