First of all, It was imo far better than the ASM movies and better than 1&3, but think 2 is still the best.

That out of the way, my main gripe isn't them changing MJs name or character. My biggest gripe was his suit basically being Iron Man/Jarvis Jr. That's not Spiderman, but it makes sense why Spidey Sense was missing. It was replaced with the damn suit.

On the plus side Keton killed it as Vulture, he's one of the best MCU villains now.

About that though, another thing I hated was how he ended up being Liz's dad. I suppose it made for a tense and awesome car ride but served no real purpose beyond that, it just felt very cliche and was kind of already done in ASM. Not exactly the same but similar and I was turned off by it.

Overall though it was a good Spidey flick, better than all but the original 2 imo, 8/10

I just really hope they drop the suit gimmick, he's not Ironman Jr damn it.

I agree, but making him Liz's dad specifically is what put me off. We knew from the first scenes he was doing it for his family, them making him the dad of the protagonists date just seemed way to convenient and cliche for me.
