It really feels like night. In most games, like bethesda game, far cry even witcher 3 nights are just like day with blue filter over everything.

There are also nights that is pitch black usually comes from mods or horrow games. In context of horror games it is appropriate, but with open world games, it is just annoying where your field of fiew is only a few meters ahead.

If anyone has spent a bight outside with clear skies (aka outside of cities and human settlement on general, you will find night are adequately bright especially when moon are shining.

Dragon's dogma has this sweet spot where you still can see the distance and the objects. But not in too great detail. Too see something in detail, you have to approach it within the range of your lantern which has respectable area of light shining.

Other games with good night view is probably stalker
