Beat this game yesterday. The free running is still awesome and I would say it is better than the first game.

But good God is the story and writing awful. There was one supporting character I liked and even she was one dimensional. Everyone is brooding. Emotional moments and plot twists have no impact. It doesn't even seem like the events of the game made any real impact on the world.

The AI is braindead. Combat is still clunky and would be better off just being largely removed altogether. Background environments look last-gen. Skill tree is tiny and earning XP outside of story missions seems entirely unnecessary. Putting lore and customization outside of the game itself still sucks as bad as it has in games like Destiny and Battlefield in the past.

EA gave this game no respect. Why do they hate franchises abbreviated ME?
