When a group or band tours, they generally have instrumental players, and they actually play on stage with them, rather than just play the orchestral parts pre-recorded. Also, I would assume that the players go on the tour bus with the group.

Is all this accurate? Is this always the case, or just usually the case?

playing recorded parts at a live concert is lame

also, depending on where the concert is, the orchestra meght just be from the area - only playing with them for one show

It is a mystery

But logically, yes.

It would be a waste of time, money and other stuff if they were to find a new group each town or countries, re-train them, rehearse, etc.

This isn't a troll topic, I honestly had no idea about this. So this happens most of the time? And most of the time, but not all of the time, the instrument players go on the tour bus or tour plane, or whatever?

thing is, most major cities have a good orchestra, most orchestral parts for pop songs aren't very difficult, and most symphony musicians are really good at sight-reading

it's probably more of a hassle to take the orchestra around than it is to just give the parts to each orchestra

A lot of touring bands will find local orchestras for each night. Cheaper than handling their living expenses and room for their equipment out on the road.
