I loved his Final Fantasy VIII and X reviews, his Ultima reviews, and even though I never played D&D, his stories about playing the game were really entertaining.

But then I heard all this stuff like he got super depressed and has health issues, then he made a rape joke about someone and got kicked off Channel Awesome I think, and just does fuck all now.

Can someone give me a quick and dirty synopsis? >_> I stopped watching him back in like 2012 but I used to love some of his old stuff.

i never found him funny
i watched his final fantasy 8 review and didnt laugh once which really made it obvious how little he actually knew about the game.

then his fans continued to repeat what he said about the game as its flaws when he gave them false information which just became frustrating

mainly the drawing from monsters things
no one draws from monsters aside from getting GFs
you get all your magic from the card game

I do agree that drawing is boring as fuck. All the other ways to get magic (card refining, item refining, etc.) are just as boring. That's the one thing I dread everytime I play this game.

And the story being so dumb. That orphanage plot twist is one of the worst things ever >_>

To be fair though, it wasn't completely out of left field. :u The game did mention how GFs can cause memory loss, and there were a lot of hints sprinkled here and there. Irvine's reluctance in shooting Edea for one.

because irvine is a terrible character
and the card game is awesome!!!!


the plot doesnt really fall apart until disk 3
its first 2 disks are fine. true the dumbest plot twist in video game history takes place on disk 2 but it happens just before one of the most exciting parts of the game so its easily overlooked until disk 3 where everything turns to shit

People are speculating that Angry Joe is going to go down that same path, because the dude decided to take a two month vacation, and disabled comments and likes.

13 was a very pretty game. but it was all style no substance
they were to focused on looking nice than actually being fun


thats the biggest reason that 13-2 is a better game than 13

My problem with his X videos is because it didn't seem like he was enjoying himself. Like he was forced to do them because his fans wanted him to. In his earlier videos no matter how much he hated the game or movie I could tell he enjoyed the video. With X it felt hallow.

Well, I think that Irvine thought they honestly just forgot about him and didn't wanna make things awkward. :u Like when you text somebody and they don't have you in their phone anymore.
