What is Game of the Month Club?
Game of the Month is a community project open to all B8ers where users share, discover, play and/or discuss a select few games every month. The games featured each month are chosen by YOU the users (and Lady Luck)

The Basics
- Each month will feature three games that were chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated
- For each game you beat, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing
- In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month
- If you beat one of the current month's games in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so
- Drawing for next month's games is usually around a week before the end of the month
- If you periodically keep us posted on your progress and/or talk about different aspects of the games, then everyone will think you are super awesome!

Nomination Rules
- You get one nomination automatically each month
- You can receive up to three more nominations in a month for each chosen game that you beat
- Each game you nominate has to be different from both your and other users' noms and cannot include a game that has already been selected for GotM
- Each game must be a standalone game that can be acquired and played on its own (aka cannot be DLC/expansion that requires the base game)
- Nominations only carry over if you beat a chosen game after the drawing for next month's games but before the end of the month

Resumed my barely started DQ Heroes file. I've gotten up to recruiting the DQ8 representatives so far. I'm currently going with Aurora, Doric, Jessica, and Terry for my team.

I see I have limited inventory space; I really hope that doesn't become a problem.

I don't know two of these games, other one is part of stuff I don't play anyway. Guess I'll stick to what I'm currently playing.

It's on Humble Bundle in the dollar tier, the first one I don't think is even on Steam, not that it really ruins the SR experience... I don't think.

I started Escape Goat tonight. Doesn't look like it's too long of a game. I think I cleared half the worlds in my session tonight, assuming they're not hiding things from me? Things seemed pretty easy until one stage in the Electric Lab that I just think I was trying to do wrong for a while, but I managed to get through.

Escape Goat beated! It really only took a few hours, not too long of a game at all. Now I unlocked some optional super hard levels, these seem like a big jump up in difficulty. I may try to go through them, but we'll see how long I can stand failing at things before moving on.

I've been continuing on with Escape Goat after beating it. The optional levels are taking me about as long as the main game, maybe longer. Some contain interesting challenges, and some border on stupidly brutal. Still having fun with it, and I'm glad the creators explored the mechanics to see how far they could take them.

Hm, that was either somebody else who did, or me talking about a different game? Escape Goat's a game I found out about back in my VGMusicoftheday days & I liked the soundtrack to. I looked up more info and thought the game looked cool too, and bought it on a Steam sale a while back. Then I ended up forgetting about it and not playing it.

Hooray, I beat all the optional levels in Escape Goat. While the main game was about 3 hours to beat, and some levels took a few retries, the optional levels were more like Super Meat Boy. I ended up taking over 9 hours and about 1800 deaths to get through 46 levels. Not something I ever plan to do again, lol. I may do the main game again someday, that part was lots of fun.
