Yes, there's an International Confederation of Wizards mentioned numerous times in the book and they speak of other nations outsideof Europe a couple of times during the book.

Then, of course, there's the Fantastic Beasts movie and Pottermore that discuss other countries.

They're not actual wizards, the school had to let them in because of affirmative action

I mean, the guy's grand plan was to attack a high school for wizards so don't think too much about it.

Angelina (Gryffndor Quiddich Captain books 4 and 5)
Lee Jordan (Best friend/co-conspirator of the Weasley twins. Also Quiddich commentator)
Dean Thomas (Seamus Finnegan's best friend)
Blaise Zabini (Self-centered, but otherwise inoffensive pureblood Slitheryn boy. Too good for the death eaters, apparently. His mother is infamously beautiful and conveniently outlives all her husbands).

Hermione Granger

And yes there are at least two schools, one for primary and secondary education, and the Salem Institute, which seems to be higher education.

Well, Grindelwald would fit more in how far reaching his power was and his time frame but Voldemort fits more with his "cleansing" message.

Plenty of black wizard/witches. Well, plenty based off the percentage of black people in Britain. And other ethnicities popped up as well.

He's not quite equivalent. Britain is the only one that really cares about him. As someone mentioned, Grindewald is closer to Hitler; America did care about him.

Yes, they're just the two most modern famous ones. Historically, Herpo the Foul was the first person to hatch a basilisk and succeed in creating a Horcrux. And then all of Voldemort's followers would be considered dark wizards.

He's from Ancient Greece, so it'd make sense that his name is kind of weird.

I actually enjoyed the last two films overall even if they changed a good bit---but that final foghtt through Hogwarts with them twirling around in the air is so dumb, lol.

Sigh, 3 through 6 were so bad, though.
