These were the two officers from the helicopter crash, right? I understood they crashed because of mechanical failure instead of the people rallying on either side. They died at the Nazi rally, but for accuracy's sake it didn't seem clear to me that Nazis were responsible for the crash -- "just" responsible for the rally as well as most of the injuries and the death of Heather.

Did I hear this wrong?

Yeah, i only quoted two tweets that i thought were most relevant because i know some of our participants here hate reading a single tweet, much less a thread.

I was mistaken last topic, though. I said "accused of a felony" but i meant "convicted of a felony". The following conversation wouldn't have changed, but i wanted to clarify.

Oh, I'm not implying they were murdered. But they died because they had to oversee a rally that anyone could see would turn violent. Without the rally, no helicopter crash.

Destruction of property has been deemed as violent in peace movements beforehand. It was a riot by definition.

If the prosecutor cannot prove the felonies with video evidence then they should be fired.

The only way the felonies will be dropped is if they plea down which would be accepted as usual to just avoid the court time and cost.

It is not because it is not provable. A monkey could prove that case. If any of them plead not guilty, they are not going to win.

By NC state law, if it were a riot, police would have been required to intervene. They did not intervene. Thus, no riot.
