Current Events > is sniper elite series the best sniper simulator out there?

The only competition i see is sniper ghost warrior, which all games are mediocre. I heard 3 is alot better than 1 and 2.
Hell, i heard 1 and 2 force you to go trough a corridor shooter action segment.

In sniper elite, the approach of the design is more of an immersive sim like deus ex, thief, etc, albeit alot more casual.

But you can see that part of the design philosophy. In each level you get a target, and each level are an open world of their own, different routes, strategies, etc.
YOu can be an ultra silent assassin, or clever rambo using traps and lure to get your enemy.

You can run and gun to some extent, or go full solo guerilla warfare. Hit someone, run, reposition, hit his friend, run and pick then up one by one like a alien in alien series taking people one by one.

I played 1, 2 and now going trough 3.

Your gun being affected by wind a gravity is awesome, ans you have the choice to turn them on or off

I certainly like the modular difficulty settings.

Im no pro but i enjoy picking people off at a distance, thats always fun.

The longer i can blast someones brains out the better, and 4 is a tad bit better on that front. Maps bigger too.

Ywah 2 is the most linear so far, it got the deus ex HR syndrome

Because of last gen console limitation the levels are small, like shoebox size. Sniper elite 3 is a bit better but not that much bigger.

I expect 4 will be gigantic

It certainly felt bigger to me.

Id even go as far as to call each mission a sandbox section as youre pretty free to go about it as you want.

Still difficult (least for me) to find the TRULY long shot locations.
