I only played about an hour. WOW. It's bad. i think it's because of the "Tidus voice acting"/monotone narration. Where did this come from? What movie/media was fantastic that had an expressionless self-narration in it that we need to replicate it?

That and it has very japanese action cutscene. "Lets do very fast cuts of multiple shots of different angles of them standing still." Seriously there is 5 minute cutscene of why she like to disagree with her captian. I get it! She's a "loner", but now with friends.

They totally missed the point that she a loner, because she has no partners and goes on missions by herself. It's not because she constantly disagree with her senioritis.

the plot was mostly pretty asinine, but I enjoyed the gameplay in Other M. it was light on exploration which was a negative, but the action was rad.

i played a lot more.

Oh my god. Seriously, they sent me to investigate the lava biosphere and when i get to the boss they say i can turn on my varia suit so heat doesn't damage me. WTH!! why didn't they let me turn on before entering the biosphere.

I actually enjoyed it, but I'll admit I played and beat it QUICK. I got it on release day and I believe I beat the game a second time on hard mode (and had already beaten the game on normal with 100% completion rate) about a week or so later. Haven't gone back to it since, but I am tempted to just to see if I still like it or not.

I bought Other M for around $10 a couple of months ago.
Still haven't opened it.
I've seen my friend playing it back when it released though.

Gameplay is supposedly good but its horrid story is what really drags it down.

ok i beat it last night and i completed post game today. it took little less than 8 hours and probably other hour to beat the post game. my completion was over 40% when i beat the game and 61% when i beat the post game

I feel like the game was incomplete. Sector zero should have been a playable level with the post game boss. you couldn't back track that much because door were locked so 100% the game is pretty hard to do if you can't go back to an area and get that item.

I will say the post game boss was surprise

overall the game is mediocre. lots of hallways where you are either running up or down towards the camera. there really wasn't that much challenge because of auto aim. But thank god there is auto aim or this game would be a nightmare to play. The game kind of reminded me of fusion, where you have to run to navigation room to navigation room. in this game you are running to save point to save point to unlock the next doors. but in fusion i felt there was more freedom, especially going back to areas.

I read ign review last night. Boy they were sucking nintendo's **** hard.

I'm glad i played it and beat it.

Gameplay is OK, it has some fun parts bur really isn't anything amazing. Potential was there but they never really did anything with it.

The horrid story and just plain dumb decisions really bring an otherwise 6/10 game down to a 2/10. Fast gameplay, suddenly you have to do slow walking down hallways with no enenmies for 10 minutes back and forth because story?

OOh! Remake of the final level of Super Metroid with Metroid and Mother Brain and everything that sounds fun! I'll just run all the way over to the other side of the game and watch a 5 minute horrible cutscene where the commander guy is like "It's not safe for you to do this level" and then blows it up. Oh and then you have to run all the way back to the opposite end of the game again to where you just were?

Fucking horrible game. Should have fired whoever was responsible for it.
