http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/356846-corker-i-wont-support-trump-for-election-again

Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) said on Tuesday that he wouldn't support President Trump in another election, saying Trump is "unable to rise to the occasion."

Pressed if he thought Trump was a liar, Corker added: "The president has great difficulty with the truth on many issues."

Republican criticism of Trump is always juicy .

"Has great difficulty with the truth"

love it

who cares

corker won't be in office

i'm so disinterested with all of this circus. it distracts from the tax debate which is actually going to impact our nation for decades if it is passed.

I mean it's ultimately meaningless but it's just fun to watch.

I can see the future, let me help you: the GOP will be unable to get the more moderate senators on board with the tax plan because of all the cuts that will happen. It'll get pushed back and back until they say 'fuck it' because midterms are coming up and no one in the House will pass it that close to elections.
Pai will also manage to get Net Neutrality removed over Thanksgiving, but it'll get reinstated by a judge before the year is up.

In 2020 when the Dems take back everything we'll be so relieved that they're back we'll have a complacency that will allow us to get fucked in all other ways.

I'm pretty sure the US is just fucked now. Our government is clearly not interested in serving the people, but rather corporations and the extremely wealthy.

Looks at net neutrality issue. It's still not dead, despite it being something the vast majority of people want. ISPs don't want it, so it'll keep being put on for debate until the corporations get what they want. Eventually people will get disinterested in fighting and ISPs will win on this issue.

well, a decade at least. unless their plan is revenue neutral, they won't be able to implement it permanently without someone invoking the Byrd rule and ruining the reconciliation's 50-votes-necessary clause

out of curiosity if the dems take all 3 houses in 2020 there's nothing to prevent them from just immediately reversing it the same way it was enacted, correct?

nothing formally stopping them as far as I know

other than the fact that our politicians have been captured by organized interest groups that cater to the rich I mean

Trump is easily the least liked president by his own party that we've had in a long time.

And yet the vast majority will vote with him on almost anything he puts up. Almost as if their rhetoric is mostly theater
