You know, with smt 5 coming and all.

Problems with smt 4 that. I had:

- dungeon feels tiny and linear
- looks like the balance is all over the place, cant quite grasp it, but it feel alot easier than smt strange journey.
- dont like most of the characters
- world map is awful to navigate

smt4 had characters that fit the apocalyptic setting. in other words, they arent over the top and colorful. smt4a characters show more emotion, but not on the same level as persona games.

the pacing in smt4a was also better than that of smt4. the progression in difficulty is better too. the beginning in smt4 was a drag, but it doesnt take long for smt4a to throw you into the action.

chances are, you'll like smt4a better than smt4

Apocalypse has more elaborate dungeons, an easier to navigate Tokyo, and better balance and gameplay in general, but the cast is by all means awful. You've got like seven guest party members and four of them are completely insufferable with the other three being hit or miss in one way or another.

its also implied that one of the characters is gay for the protagonist. so if youre into that kind of thing, this is up your alley. oh and you can choose who to set as your partner for battle this time around.

I see. At least most of the gameplay related problems are fixed.

Will probabky get it after i am done with DQ vii ( which isnt soon. That game is just soooo MASSIVE)
