Im getting two cavites filled today in my mouths left side today. And then two more on my right some other day. Every cavite they said was small except one on the upper left which they said was big and needed immediate filling or else it might need a root canal.

So is cavite filling is hurt? I got em filled a long time ago but cant remember

You're going to feel a lot of pressure on your teeth but it shouldn't hurt too much.

Ah okay thanks. Ive had a deep cleaning a couple years back and while they numbed my mouth I could still feel the poking in my gums at times but I dealt with it. Hoping its not as bad as that.

I got two big syringes worth of numbing drugs and I still felt it. It was torture. Blinding white hot pain is the last thing I remember, next thing I knew it was two weeks later and I was in a mental health ward at the local hospital. It was pain so great I almost didn't come back from it, my mind literally just shut everything down.

Worst part is getting the numbing. It's just a little poke and then everything is numb. As an above poster mentioned, you'll feel pressure, but no pain. It's just incredibly boring.

In the even you do feel pain, make sure you establish a sign beforehand with your dentist, like a wave of the hand or something. I had a point where I could tell my stuff was slowly wearing off and I was feeling a little stinging, so I had to stop them and they just re-numbed me.

Yeah this, if it started hurting he would've stopped them before straight up blacking out.

This was a similar experience to what happened when I stubbed my toe.

I remember how big the syringes were. Like as thick as one of those big fatty black markers. Not sharpies, the real big ones. They gave me two because I had a hard time with the cleaning and it was very nervous.

When they started drilling it was like this electric jolt all the way down to my very essence. Everything was on fire. I couldn't. I just. I don't know man. It's the last thing I remember. I have very poor enamel, or something like that. They have me on prescription toothpaste to help with it, but it doesn't.

With a good dentist you'll barely even feel the needle. The worst part is waiting up to 5 hours to eat solid food, because you do NOT want to bite through your tongue while numb.

This. Actually, the numbing shots are the only pain you feel. And it's only a little considering they put a numbing gel on too before they give the shots.

Well I survived the first day. Honesty the thing that hurt most was the slight sting from the numbing shots lol. Annoying as fuck not being able to eat with that side tho, which is my normal chewing side. Tomorrow should be better.
