Game Grumps are playing it right now and it's pretty funny looking. Sonic just doesn't work in 3d. it should have stayed a 2d series. also there are way too many stupid characters now. just stick with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik.

IIRC, didn't it have a review embargo until it got released. Not really surprised a game that people couldn't learn about before release ended up being shit.

then we'd never have 3d sonic games again. There could even be a nsmb-like era. TBH, this game's biggest problem was its atrociously bland level design, and worst thing is, in the credits, it shows that the levels were designed by 3 newbies. "from the team that brought you sonic colors and sonic generations", yeah, right.
