Let's ignore the aliens like Superman that bring a huge can of worms.

And say something mildly more realistic occured, like with Batman. Some guy becomes a Vigilante, beats the crap out of some thugs or rapists or escaped convicts or gamblers, then leaves them tied up and dumped outside a police station along with a bucketload of evidence connecting them to said crimes.

or like someone Punk steals a squad-car and then ends up hanging by his feet from a cable attached to a street light directly above the car he stole.

What would happen next?
Would any of that even stick?

I mean you hear stories about people getting off on crimes they commited because the police fucked up paper-work or some shit, so being thrased and brought in by a dude with serious mental issues seems like it would be a thing.
