From the Altair and Ezio games and more or less the entire series using them as enemies, to people attributing scientific shit to the gods, to the precursor god-like people being shitheads, to now Origins.

Been playing the new game and you have Greeks and Egyptians fighting to display their gods. Even Bayek takes opportunities to scoff at Greek gods or even Egyptian gods he doesn't quite agree with while being all in on his own fairytale beliefs.

It's interesting.

Not that it justifies it, but at least they're consistent.

It irks me when people say that they're against religion, but then treat any non-Abrahamic faith as some treasured part of a people's culture.
