Battle system was fun. Story was....well its a JRPG. So expect sappy dialogue.

Not the best star ocean, kind of forgettable, but I think it's worth a playthrough if you like the series. It's no Second Story, but better than Till the End of Time.

I'm playing it right now too, just started it on PS4 last week. Played it before on 360 but the remastered one has pretty cool textures and lighting/shadow effects.

Tbh I just like it for the battle system. Reimi is fun af to main. I wasn't impressed by the story and the only characters I like are Arumat, Myuria, Bacchus and Faize.

Also, just put the voices in Japanese and use subs. It'll save you a lot of headaches on some characters.

But Last Hope really didnt cut it for me.

With Last Hope you atleast get your money's worth for the amount of gameplay that's offered. I bought SO5 for 60 bucks and beat it in 20 hours. Normal playthrough for me on SO4? 60+ hours easy.

Yeah Edge Maverick is a terrible name. Then again it's Tri-Ace and they gave us greats like Fate Linegod, Maria Traitor and Jack Russell. So yeah. Yeah square's translation to hide Fate and Traitor in Star ocean three didn't work.
