So, my girlfriend's friend and I were talking, and the subject of sports came up. She said that she hates sports because there's so much corruption in them and that the athletes are bad people, etc. Obviously, there are some really fucked up things that happen in sports, but I asked her why she doesn't apply the same logic to other forms of entertainment that she enjoys (movies, television, music). Her response? She's well aware of the problems in the entertainment industry and that I don't have the moral capacity to realize how much more of a problem sports are.

This is blogfaqs, but I really am just at a loss of words. Jesus Christ

I wonder if it's just male sports she hates. does she apply this logic to the us female gymnastics team? is she victim blaming those girls? or maybe just maybe they were just girls who loved performing for their country

that's when you call her an idiot with laughable opinions that has smelly feet.

Part of the issue she says with sports is that women aren't represented equally. As for the gymnastics thing, she's 100% in support of the girls (thank God).
