Humans and Twi'leks can actually produce children together.

Good finale, too. Now's the time to catch up and binge if you've been stalling.

Okey dokey.

Kanan dead. He blew himself up so everyone else could escape an impossible situation. Ezra and Thrawn are missing, presumed dead. The main finale was about liberating Lothal, and Ezra used his fully-awakened abilities to communicate with animals to call some purgills (remember those?) to basically wreck Thrawn's fleet. The purgills then grappled the Chimaera and pulled it into hyperspace with Thrawn and Ezra inside. Most of the rest of the crew continues working with the Rebellion, and the very end flashes forward to after the Battle of Endor with everyone still alive. Sabine stayed behind on Lothal to protect it and eventually meets up with Ahsoka to track down Ezra.

Also, you said "second half", and I assumed you meant "second half of the fourth season". Was that correct?

Ah.

Ezra *saved* Ahsoka.

Another plot point of Season 4 was the *true* reason the Empire came to Lothal. The Jedi Temple there contains within it a gateway to a galactic "space and time nexus" powered by the Force. It allows those within it to travel to pivotal moments in time. Obviously, the Emperor wants that something hard. Ezra finds his way into it and is able to pull Ahsoka away from the fight with Vader, saving her. He almost saves Kanan, too, but stops himself because if he didn't it would mean that the rest of the crew died. Ezra returns Ahsoka to where he found her, but after Vader had departed, so she's alive as fuck.

Is there going to be another season?

I'd hope "series finale" makes that clear enough.

This might not be the last Dave Filoni-run animated series, but Rebels is over.

Dear lord this is the worst thing to ever be written into Star Wars, of all canon material ever, even the Last Jedi. Time traveling Force nexus? Horrendous.

Possibly. Ezra makes a point of destroying access to it, though. Although I suppose other access points may exist.

Yeah, meant second half of season 4.

Thanks for the recap. Sounds like a worthy conclusion.

Is the baby more Twi'lek or more human?

I know there's that one episode of The Clone Wars with the clone trooper who deserted, but I assumed he adopted those kids.

Human with green hair. He was on screen for like 5 seconds so they didn't put much effort into him.

He's kinda fugly.

So twi'leks are a human subspecies/offshoot?

Or are they like the Asari in Mass Effect where they have some weird omni-reproductive ability?

I mean let's be real. Anatomically, humans and Twi'leks, and Devaronians, and Mirialans, and Miralukans, and Chiss, and several other species are so freakin' similar it might as well be possible for crossbreeding.

It doesn't come up often, but it is canon.

Rystall, one of the singers in Jabba's Palace in the ROTJ:SE is a hybrid species.

Well, maybe. One thing it *isn't* is powers out of nowhere. Ezra has been refining his ability to talk to animals since early in the series. Visions are very common for Force-users as well.
