Not much challenge at all, in the main mode at least, but it's fun just messing around and exploring all the different combinations you can do. It doesn't However there are some pretty weirdly overpowered friend techniques. I just played a bonus stage where you basically had to have the Water power and stand next to an Ice ally, and hold up to do some special attack that fired 3 large icicle chunks, and the level had waves of enemies which meant that it was designed for you to keep doing it over and over. The combinations are pretty cool though.
