I myself have never played more than a few minutes into the first one, but damn the whole "hate the popular" thing is still alive and well. I think the people who loved it were mainly the CoD crowd and they obviously give up games fast for the newest shiny game. It seems most actual Bioshock fans were disappointed in Infinite. The gameplay was more about small fighting arenas as opposed to the original being a bit more strategic.
