I made that other topic the other day for which game to play after Xenoblade 2

BUT i realized these next two months will be my last chance for awhile to catch up on a series that I've always been interested in but never really started. I'm really leaning towards Yakuza right now, but I don't really know how I'll get to Y3, and Y4 and 5 would require me to renew PS+, which isn't a major problem.

Its in the so convolutedly bad it becomes good territory. Im only familiar with 1 and 2 though so this will be an adventure in ridiculousness for me too once i get to the titles I've never played before. I only get an hour or two to myself to play so im still on the first game but im almost done and the nostalgia has been a blast.

I'd have recommended one of the scarier series. You won't have much time for gaming once they're back, but even less of a chance for Resident Evil unless you want to be the one to go in and check on your kid when he's screaming because of nightmares.

EDIT: What is wrong with me? "Once their back"? I never used to make those kinds of mistakes.

XC1 for sure. From what it sounds like it's an upgrade from 2.

If you play KH then only play 1 (final mix), Chain of Memories, and 2 (final mix +). BBS and 356/2 days and DDD if you really want more (you won't).

KH plot really isn't bad if you take the time to play the games. Mind-numbingly simple at times, actually.

A big theme of the game is dreams and that's how the story is designed. It makes total sense and is super engrossing at the time but turns to mush the instant you think deeper about it.

Darkness and light. Some characters fight for the light, other characters fight for the darkness. And then SOME characters go on a journey from darkness to light.

There. That's Kingdom Hearts in a nutshell. But the presentation and adventure of it all is great.

And actually it has some pretty good twists and story moments regardless of some of the other things it does.

This. The two mainline games are fantastic and CoM is tolerable. The others will only be enjoyable if you're really into the series, and maybe not even then.
