I played the first two all the way through and then part of the third one. I played it so much later I wasnt able to get into it again.

Got the new one for my birthday and I absolutely love it. Completely different than the other three in every way, and it has just been so epic so far.

There honestly isnt really another game I can even compare it to.

Big fan, would recommend.

I haven't played any other God of War games, but I enjoyed it.

It's basically Uncharted/The Last of Us with God of War's world (In a new setting) and combat imo.
However the game got extremely repetitive at certain points due to the enemy variety being extremely low.

Ive played the first 3 main games, then this one. Its fantastic imo, and much longer than the originals. Im still a couple hours from the end of the game but Ive enjoyed just about every minute of the hard difficulty.

It's a lot different from the original trilogy, but it's easily my favorite in the series. I think if you're expecting "classic" God of War you may be disappointed, but since you've never played one I'd say watch some gameplay videos and if you like what you see then give it a shot. Combat is a lot of fun, and the game is a visual and auditory treat.

not at all. all you really need to know is that kratos used to be a rage monster greek god and killed nearly every other greek god before killing himself, ok?

the game is much more focused on its own storyline, ok?

yes. I mean just know that Kratos is the Greek God of War and that's all you need to know. You can figure out the rest via how they tell it through the storytelling in the game. The game is great.

Okay I got it. Really liking it. Heard the story takes 25 hours on normal? I find that hard to believe.

I tend to explore a lot even in linear games, so my completion times are usually on the longer side. That said, I just got to the base of the mountain and my brother who's beaten it says I'm not even halfway through the game. Been playing well over 10 hours I'd say.

I absolutely hated the END GAME SPOILERS Loki twist. It almost ruined the whole game for me because it was so dumb.
