Netflix has introduced new anti-harassment training in the wake of the #metoo movement that rocked Hollywood and seriously disrupted production on its House of Cards show.

New rules imposed on set reportedly include no looking at anyone for longer than five seconds, no lingering hugs, no flirting and no asking for a colleague's phone number.

Everyone was spoken to about #MeToo," an on-set runner currently working on the new season of Black Mirror told The Sun.

"Senior staff went to a harassment meeting to learn what is and isnt appropriate. Looking at anyone longer than five seconds is considered creepy.

You mustnt ask for someones number unless they have given permission for it to be distributed. And if you see any unwanted behaviour, report it immediately.

It has sparked jokes," they added, "with people looking at each other, counting to five, then diverting their eyes.

Netflix declined to confirm or deny the report, but told The Independent in a statement: "Were proud of the anti-harassment training we offer to our productions. We want every Netflix production to be a safe and respectful working environment. We believe the resources we offer empower people on our sets to speak up, and shouldnt be trivialised."

This randomly reminded me of when I was a little kid, me and my friend were at a pool parking lot waiting for our ride to come, so we were just standing there looking at the entrance to the parking lot. Well there was a girl in a bikini getting stuff from her car or something right in the line of sight. We honestly didn't even notice her, with our little kid brains, we were just looking past her, and then all of a sudden she turns to us and yells at us like "what are you looking at!?" She thought we were creepin' on her.

I had the same question. What if you look away for a half second, and then look again for 5 more seconds? You could get away with being more of a creep because you're now operating under an objective guideline meant to dictate a subjective behavior.

Unless there's a cool down time of course.

What if you're on a job interview to go there, do you make eye contact for five, look away, then look back?

I get it, we want to make sure there's no future metoo claims, and I agree workplace and romance should be seperate, I work somewhere its more females than men. Would I love to screw some of the female workers? Hell yea, but work isn't the place to hit on anyone or even try, most people don't want to think of romantic bullshit at work and like to bitch about their love lives if anything.

So yea its a bit extreme, metoo should only be about rape and guess what, a 7 second stare isn't what leads to rape.

If you want to catch someone in the act of breaking this rule, you'd need another person to help you so that the two of you can coordinate looking at the suspect and averting your gaze so that neither of you break the 5 second rule.
