Just go on Craigslist and find one of those people that will make a fake paystub for you, and for extra they will also act like your manager or whatever

Yeah this is a huge problem that NYC has. It's a great example of how regulations meant to protect tenants can actually backfire and make things worse. It's so hard to evict people in NYC that landlords started doing this as a way to protect their bottom line.

The result is that it has made it even harder for working people to find places to rent. Your best bet might be to sub-lease an apartment. Of course, this means you get zero protection from the law because it's basically an under-the-table deal, but it might be the only way to rent a place.

Yep the liberal mentality in ny allows renters to stop paying and go for anywhere up to 1 year living rent free if they know how to play the game. Becoming a landlord in ny in 2018 is stupid.
