I have basically eliminated Sling and PS Vue from contention.

However, has anyone tried any of these?

Currently choosing between YouTube TV and Hulu Live. DirecTV is on the outside looking in.

Help.

My extended family is talking a bunch about cord cutting lately and they've been eyeing Sling. Out of curiosity, did you eliminate it because of something bad you've heard? I haven't done much research on any of these.

Can you go more in depth? Those 2 have the most sports offerings.

I eliminated Sling because unless you live in an area with an antenna able area you are going to be major broadcast less besides Fox and NBC. It also doesn't have nearly as many sports channels which I am interested in.

The one thing Sling does great is it offers more broken up packages. For example the base packages are $40 for like 50-60 channels for all the others.

Sling offers a like $25 package for 25 channels. Or $20 for the other like 25 channels. But when put together is like 50 channels for $40. If you only want say that 25 it would be advantageous to go with sling.

There isn't much depth to give other than the offerings they have are all missing various regional sports networks and quite a few national outlets.

Main differences I saw.

YouTube
$40
Unlimited DVR for 9 months it will stayed stored. 3 streams simultaneous. No Viacom channels

Hulu Live
$40
50 hours DVR
Hulu access also to all it's programs which is by far the most extensive.
2 streams simultaneous.
No AMC or Viacom channels.

DirecTV now
$40
Doesn't have apps to function off of my TV's or Xboxes so would need Roku/Chromecast/firetvs.
2 streams.
20 hour DVR beta.
Has the Viacom channels and AMC the others lack. Doesn't have as many sports channels.

Both YouTube and Hulu have more offerings than my cable does.

For example, YouTube

ESPN 1
ESPN 2
ESPN U
ESPN News
Fox Sports 1
Fox Sports 2
NBC Sports
MLB TV
NBA TV
CBS Sports
Yes
Big 10 Network
Sec network

Hulu you take out MLB and NBA TV and add in a golf channel.

What would you say is missing from your normal cable besides NFL TV?
