I dont like anything about this

Our smaller dog is not even half his size and he was basically biting her entire head to try and get her to drop the chew she had in her mouth. Hes never bit another dog before.

Gonna schedule a vet appointment. Hes pretty old now and he has started aggressively barking at any dog we see on walks. He never used to be like that and would be excited when he got to meet new dogs.

Im hoping its something that can easily be managed or alleviated. They need to teach pets how to talk already.

:(
Dogs can make people so happy but so sad too. I'd still rather put up with that than have no dogs at all. Hopefully it's nothing too crazy.

My biggest fear is that it might be dementia.

If something is causing him pain we can get him meds to help, if its his vision or hearing we can adapt how we do things to make things easier for him. If his mind is going though, I dont know if there is a solution that would let him stick around and have quality of life.

Parrots can talk and they're pets.

If he never attacked strange dogs in the past, would dementia actually affect that? Whenever I hear increased aggression, my first thought it something like rabies but you probably would be seeing other signs.

Birds can be pets. So can gorillas. They can learn sign language, you know. Then if you attach a device to them, it can covert that sign language to speech. I saw it in a movie once.

My bigger dog use to get into fights with my younger dog. Who is also much smaller. Probably less than half the size. They get along most of the time, though. It's kind of like how kids fight sometimes. At least, with them. I separate them for a while. And then things are better. My older dog is kind of a bully sometimes. He just barked at my younger dog to stop him from eating or drinking. And stands in front of the bowls until I tell him to move. It may be a one time thing. I would check with the vet to make sure. But they are probably fine.
