In essence, that the author shouldn't hide behind anonymity when they likely have more power than anyone else to put a stop to all this. Invoking the 25th amendment, presenting enough evidence to begin articles of impeachment, or at least something that will lead to a Congress that will itself have the body necessary to do either.

The author of this article calls the NYT Op-Ed a cowardly move, basically a move that allows the author to appear like they're part of "the good government" by making acts undermining the President, and will come off as a hero when it all comes down, when in fact they're trying to play both sides by not identifying themselves.

And the worst part being that this article won't make the President "better". He'll start seeing enemies even among his own direct supporters, which will make him more unhinged.

It comforts me that there's someone in the white house quietly pulling strings against trump. Like a benevolent Varys.
