Or, more to the point, just she just care so long as it doesn't interfere with her massive profits?

I've noticed she seems to care a little about the LGBT movement, but there wasn't a single character in the books specifically mentioned as being gay...unless you include that random afterthought by Rowling, in an interview done after the final book was released. Bare in mind, if a single character was gay, there would be quite a few countries the books couldn't be published in, and of course, in certain places, e.g. America, many parents would never allow their children to read them.

I think someone just asked her about Dumbledor not having a family and she was like, "Well yeah, he was in love with Grindelwald, and didn't have a romantic relationship after that"

Like, it sounds enough like that was in her head the whole time but in the span of the narrative of the novels it never came up.

It wasn't like she held a press conference to announce it. Someone asked her in an interview about her process, and she explained how she thought about the characters.

Either way, though, this whole "SJW!" witch-hunt is so stupid. They just sit there yelling about how everything they don't like is the result of the "SJW" menace. It's just a stupid paranoid conspiracy from thin skinned snowflakes, that ironically, think everyone else is a thin-skinned snowflake.

While the Harry Potter story may have been planned out, the surrounding lore seems like it's a "make up as you go" thing.

The only relationship that mattered with regards to the Hogwarts personnel was Snapes and thats only because of the connection to Harry Potter. I dont see why Rowling would have bothered with including Dumbledores.

Also what subtext was there in the books?

I don't think her minimal and quiet inclusion of an LGBT character (who only represents one letter of that acronym) as a retcon and afterthought in the Harry Potter universe makes her a champion of social justice.

Havent read the books in a while but wasnt Dumbledore gay? Even if not, a book isnt anti LGBT just because there arent any gay or trans characters.
