I'm researching the candidates that will be on my ballot and every single one of the Republicans say that life is sacred and must be protected and how pro-life they are. I just can't fathom that this is one of the major issues for you as a candidate. I just don't get it, its a huge turn off for me

Because this is the main issue people like my mom care about. Sure, their policies may screw you financially, but that's ok if they're pro-life!

Yeah. Trump has his weird cult members, but I know tons of people that hate the guy but voted for him because "but... pro-life!!!"

I know a person who agrees with raising taxes, legalizing weed, medicare for all, etc. who will never vote democrat because she's pro-life to an extreme level

You have to understand why most pro-life people are pro-life. It's not because they want to control women. It's because they think an unborn child is truly a living human whose life is worth protecting. Given this, it's easy to see why this would be an important issue since there are so many lives at stake.

My dad hated Bush but voted for him in 2004 solely because of abortion.

I can't fathom people being against abortion in 2018. It doesn't seem like something that should even need to be brought up in this day in age. I feel like there are many other issues we should be focused on, but a candidate being against abortion is a big deal to me, yeah
