Requirements:

- less than 3 lbs
- laptop that can sit on my lap (won't flop over like a tablet + keyboard case)
- doesn't look like ass

I don't think this is the best place to ask, so I'll be asking this in more than one place but who knows.

I was looking at the Asus C302 with the Core-M options.

Is this doable? I'd probably do this on the Core M chipsets. This is really all the documentation I can find on it:

Generally I want something around 2lbs or under, even the C302 is nearly 2.65lbs which is pretty hefty for the size and limitations. I may just buy an older MacBook 12" because I'm trying to keep this budget friendly. It's really difficult to beat 2.02lbs from what I'm finding but the keyboards are junk on them and concern me.

I considered an older Macbook Air 11" that is only 2.4lbs. But after careful consideration I doubt it would offer any weight advantages because the 45w fat brick will bring it up to 3.4lbs.

Am I overlooking better options out there that would fit these parameters/be budget friendly and not look like garbage?
