What I mean is, Dems have lost a lot of people thanks to their identity politics. By running Beto in 2020, they're taking away one of their main criticisms and working class whites (the historic Democrat base) will stop feeling like the Democrats no longer care about them.

And without the shields of "you're sexist" or "you're racist", people will have to actually discuss the issues.

Another reason it's in the DNC's best interest to run him for president.
