There was an incident like this in Britain just recently, although I'm not going to post the link (the mods might not like it). It's become a minor debate. What do you think? It this acceptable behaviour, or not?

there's more to the story than whats captured. i think the clips of violence is to spread the fear of law enforcement and community authorities. seems anybody in uniform is scrutinized for any negativity yet dont get acknowledge for the community service or humanitarian aid people in uniform do.

training subdues or hinders perceived threats to themselves or the public

training protects citizens from each other

it wont surprise me when there comes a time a body camera becomes needed for 24hr coverage of everyone because people cant be held accountable for their actions and the consequences it brings

It's 100% fine. Not up to normal people to help the police.

I don't know what an average citizen could do to help. If the police are justified in the force they are using, then the person intervening isn't helping and will likely be arrested and even injured or killed. And if the police are using excessive force, then they probably wouldn't have a problem using more force on anyone who tried to get involved.

I'm vehemently opposed to mostly all forms of digital vigilantism. It's not a citizen's job to be the arbiter of justice, or to exploit another person's ignorance or anger for entertainment.

Filming police wrongdoing is my one exception. But -- what the op asked, which is the COP being the victim, i do think it's incredibly trashy and exploitative.
As a liberal myself -- this is further proof of the emotional immaturity of the modern left.

People are not trained to help the police. Police would shoo away or even arrest people trying to help them in certain situations.

If you mean help as in just calling 911 to get more police to the scene, then yeah they should do that if it's looking rough.

Police are people too. If they're in a struggle and you can aid, without them assuming you're helping the assailant, and if it's not an obvious suicide mission, fucking help them toy degenerates.

I've seen videos where cops are wrestling someone and tell people coming to there defense to back up.
I've also seen videos where people have saved their asses. Both are in YouTube, "policeactivity".

But the point is, use your best judgement and don't stand by while someone is being fucking murdered.
