She has a costume which looks 1940s in design, her movie is set in the nostalgic 90s, and she's come from out of nowhere to be the go-to female character for Marvel. It'd be like if a short lived cartoon character from the early 2000s were suddenly revamped with a style similar to golden age Mickey Mouse.
