I did the last few levels, and then did the surprisingly easy final boss. Took me 2 attempts for the boss, I think.

I'm only at about 60% or something overall completion, though. I've gotten quite a few grey crystals, and some of the coloured crystals, as well as some blue and gold relics, but there's plenty I haven't done.

Have you ever 100%ed this? How hard did you find it, on a scale of 1 - 10? I think this game would probably be extremely hard to do everything, maybe a 9 out of 10.

I 100%ed 2 a few times in highschool on the PS1. There are a couple levels that are extremely hard from what I remember but most are just about being careful to not miss anything, and make sure you get the colored gems first.

You're talking about the N.Sane Trilogy of Crash 2? It's actually not that hard to get 100% on it, because for one thing, you don't have to collect all of the relics. Collecting all of the relics in the first two games is actually more challenging than collection all the ones in 3.

Yeah, but I doubt a proper Crash fan would say it's okay to skip some relics. They would say fuck whatever the game says.

Yeah I 100%'d Crash Bandicoot 2. It was maybe a 5 or 6 out of 10 in terms of difficulty. There were a couple of tricky levels but you could mostly breeze through the game.

Of course, I'm talking about the PS1 version. Evidently the new versions of the games made Crash into a capsule or something which makes the games 350 trillion times as difficult.

What was it? All levels, all bosses, all grey gems, all coloured games, and blue and gold relics? Even if that was the case, it would still be very hard. Even playing through the game was challenging to me, and I've got over 25 years of experience as a platform game player.

There were no relics. Just the crystals, gray gems and five colored gems.

nah relics didn't appear until the third game on the ps1 versions. they were also pretty kid friendly, 100+%'d all three in my childhood without much issue, and I sucked at video games

3 had them. And the Platinums were insane. Even Naughty Dog staff didn't manage lots of them. Which led me to believe a good many probably weren't possible, so I never bothered with the platinums and just stopped at gold.

1 and 2 didn't.

Yeah, I've spent a lot of time working at the relics in the 3rd game, and I've got lots of blues and golds, but not many platinums.

But that's how time attack should be. The highest medal or whatever should be extremely hard. I mean, only top tier gamers would be likely to get them all.

Eh 1 was a pretty decent challenge. I went through 20 something lives on that slippery climb level before finally beating it.

But 2 and 3 weren't that tough at all, platinum relics in 3 aside.

Somebody in the company should be able to complete every challenge presented in a game. Otherwise they don't know if it can be done.

Eh 1 was a pretty decent challenge. I went through 20 something lives on that slippery climb level before finally beating it.

But 2 and 3 weren't that tough at all, platinum relics in 3 aside.

I thought some of the later levels in 2 were really tough. I thought 3's road levels were very hard (read: disproportionately hard), but generally the other levels weren't that hard. The road levels did slow me down a lot, though, which was stupid and annoying.

I feel like the PS4 version controls are slightly off and it kills the timing.

furthest I got was 99%, was never able to get all the boxes on the snow level becaue of this single tricky part where crash is sliding and has to break a 3 stack then somehow get to the right immediately after.

Uh, it is kinda hard to 100% Crash 2. Especially without a guide. Some of the secrets are hidden behind arbitrary things youd have to know were there. And there is a definite difficulty ramp at the end of the game, especially the optional areas.

it blew my mind when I slid and jumped into the giant polar bear at the end of the polar chase stage curious to see what happened, only to fall into a secret warp level lol

I didn't say it wasn't hard at all to get 100% on Crash 2. I said it wasn't that hard. And it's still easier to get 100% than on the other two games. The first one where you had to break all the boxes in the stage without dying in order to obtain the gem. Though thankfully for the N Sane Trilogy this only applies to the stages with colored gems(which can still be a pain in the ass). And in the third one where even getting some of the gold relics can be pretty difficult.(looking at you High Time) And there's the two hidden stages which are even harder to find than the ones in Crash 2.
