Would this be a good idea, or would it merely waste precious hours?

It's just about the only Bond film I ever disliked. I didn't hate it, but still. 4/10. I remember seeing it 10 years ago, when it first came out at the cinema. Should I watch it again, in hopes of lightening up about it? 24 main series Bond films, and I liked 23 of them.

Perhaps if it had more action. Or a better overall plot device. Or Q and Moneypenny. And yet, it wasn't dreadful or anything.

My problem with Quantum of Solace is the way it's filmed. There's so many cuts it's hard to make out what's going on. Just take a look at

The editing is awful.

I don't hate it, it's just very average. Given a better director, I reckon Quantum of Solace would be held in a higher regard. Die Another Day or A View to A Kill are way worse than Quantum and I don't think there's anyway you could salvage those with a new director.

I never understood why people hate Die Another Day. I've seen it lots of times, and really enjoyed it. I don't remember AVTAK very well, but the Moore films were good. Perhaps they did too many with him, though.
