80/80
For those unfamilar with the background, Jon Jones is arguably the greatest MMA fighter of his ilk but has for the 3rd time failed drug tests. This time so badly that the UFC have to move their upcoming PPV to a new location at the last minute as the previous one wouldn't liscence him due to his drug usage. Everyone is acting like this is okay and no one is talking about it. Until now. A room full of 6+ foot muscular profressional fighters and a little fat girl has bigger balls than anyone else. Really says a lot don't it? --- ^ Hey now that's completely Merry! https://i.imgtc.com/YnvkpvU.png ... Copied to Clipboard!

Everyone is acting like this is okay and no one is talking about it. Until now. Other fighters have complained about Jon Jones quite a lot. Cris Cyborg, who is also on the card, recently did in an interview about it. They just blame the UFC rather than him, which makes sense since it is their choice to continue to cater to him to the detriment of other athletes --- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ... It's even more complicated than that, actually. The organization that made the call is USADA, which is independent from the UFC. The decision makes no sense, but bribery doesn't either. They took down Lance Armstrong who certainly had more of an ability to pay them off.
If anything -- and this is kind of a Trumpian angle -- it could be that the UFC is just leveraging their relationships. Their VP for health/performance is a former FDA/IRS agent who worked with USADA to investigate things like the Armstrong doping case. --- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ... Probably not. But it will stop the drug use. This is overly simplistic and harsh. It would not reach the desired effect and would result in kicking out innocent people. The Jones thing is interesting because of what the organization is doing in response. Instead of being careful and stopping him from fighting while they figure out what happened they move the entire event to a place that will allow him to fight. It fucks over the people that wanted to watch it and some of the fighters lower down the card and allows a guy that was probably using a prohibited substance to fight. --- ************************************************ https://imgur.com/iZdWIKJ ... From what Jeff Novitzky said, he only testes positive for the long term metabolites, which provide no no benefit or something. The period in which he was tested was close enough to a previous test (like 20 days) that he would have had to test positive to for the short and medium term metabolites as well, but was clean. The going theory is that it's a pulsing effect with the long term metabolites.
That's not to say Jon isn't a POS idiot, but I'm not sure he actually took anythingthis time. This is the same steroid he tested positive for the last time, but there's no indication of the metabolites that should be present if he ingested it between tests. Not to mention the tested levels in his tests have always been at 0 or so microscopic an account they were determined by outside arbitrators to be of no benefit to performance. --- *runs out of topic naked* ... Even if you think the story is plausible, and it is, it's a different decision than they've made in the past under very similar circumstances --- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ... This whole thing is shady as hell. I sympathize with the lower tier fighters who are held to a different (i.e. far more strict) standard than Jon Jones, but what can they do? They are struggling to make ends meet and are wary of rocking the boat. Dana, that fucking clown, will keep protecting Jones, as much as he can.
