My dad likes this one. My worldview expanded because I met all kinds of people at college and got to find out what they thought about the world. My major and my professors were politically neutral.

There are some ideas that definitely can work and should be implemented, like affordable health care and being able to have abortions and birth control handed out like candy. Dont like it? Dont get an abortion, an injury or take birth control. Hell, if you wanted to keep getting ass fucked by medical bills Im sure that can still be arranged.

Then there are some real stupid ideas that absolutely defy reality and have a fuck zero percent chance of working. Like gun free zones. How often do mass shootings happen where guns are banned? Pretty often. And also lol taking away peoples guns, how can you seriously expect to take someones guns when they have a gun and you dont? Even if people willingly turned in their guns, and were required to by law, criminals dont follow the law anyway and ironically they are the main group of people we dont want having guns. Libs didnt really think that one through. Would make a lot more sense if everyone had a gun (theres enough for everyone, literally), theres plenty of would be mass shootings that have been thwarted because a few people also had guns.

of course. liberals and conservatives both come out of liberalism to begin with. conservatives think we've gone far enough while liberals want to keep up progress. the only arguments we should be having is how to make progress, like the details and procedure of it, not whether or not we should make progress at all. we clearly don't live in a perfect world, so we should keep striving to improve it. change comes at a price and conservatives don't want to pay it, so they cling to the status quo
