Even though both Alaska and Hawaii are technically more "remote".

What's in Maine, anyway? Just empty spaces, and the occasionally village? Tell me the truth, CE.

Southern coast has some decent sized towns and a small city. Bar harbor/Acadia national Park is halfway up the coast.

Besides that it's trees, the occasional mountain.

I would consider Vermont to be more remote considering your definition. Vermont is truly nothing.

Southern Maine has some nice towns and cities. Northwest Maine is actually Canada and Northeast Maine is as racist as the southern states.
