To listen to a lot of Americans, especially GOP voters, you would think that Mexico, Mexicans, and Mexican-Americans are the most horrible thing ever. Claims about "stealing" jobs; draining national resources; Mexican men raping American women, etc. The way that people in America (read: white people) walking about cities avoid Latino neighbourhoods, try and make out that Mexican-Americans only do low-paying, blue collar work, and so on.

I'm British. I'm fine with Mexico. If we're talking Latinos / Hispanics in general, I've met a few over the years, and one was friends with me for a long time, but they seemed like completely normal and decent human beings.

Explain why Mexicans are apparently bad.
