The art style is similar, along with other aspects, but the gameplay looks quite different in many ways. Having combat that is actually fun would be great. Extra bonus points if it has dungeons instead of a bunch of single puzzle rooms.

Im playing Persona 5 atm and realizing that it's not the majority of Anime I hate. Just the kind that in this game.

It looks like a decent game but you know damn well it won't have anywhere near the depth. Fanservice games distract you with chicks for a reason.

It's hilarious how blatant it is. Same lighting style. Even the fire looks the same. The ruins look exactly the same. It also has pig men with clubs as enemies.

At least they ripped off Dynasty Warriors for the combat.

Most of the Project China Hero games are heavily inspired by already existing games. Which doesn't bother me, because making games based on games I already like seems like a good idea. I certainly enjoyed NiOh despite it being Samurai Souls mixed with Ninja Gaiden.

To be completely honest I'm surprised there aren't more Zelda ripoffs. 2D or 3D. It's a great formula that I would love to play more of, but all the indie devs are too busy making Metroidvanias. >_>

Well that's another issue more at the center of the idea of "intellectual property" which is that literally no idea can exist without borrowing other ideas from an unbroken chain going back into pre-history. I think it's a very Western view of history being a select few "great men" with groundbreaking ideas that cause us to ignore the incremental steps that allow "new" ideas to happen. I rather like that part about science, where we cite all the papers that came before that influenced our own research, and no one is punished for replicating other people's experiments.

But anyway, yes BotW was clearly inspired more by Western RPGs like Oblivion than past Zelda games. So acting like it was a completely original work is pretty silly.

It's not really copying the concept people are taking issue with. That's normal.

Like the game literally looks the same. The world looks the same. The lighting looks the same. The enemies almost look the same or serve the exact same archetypes. The ruins look the same etc.

It's not really being inspired when you're directly copying how the game looks and feels on top of gameplay and mechanics.

I'm looking forward to this. It does look heavily inspired by BotW, but also just doing its own thing. I loved BotW, I won't kick up a fuss over playing a JRPG spin on it.
