It was definitely him, adding on the years since we last spoke. He was with several women, and a couple of young children...one of which he felt the need to hold in his arms. This was in a local park area. He didn't seem to see me, although from a distance, and with my different appearance, he might not have recognised me. I didn't know what to say to him, so I just got ahead of him, and walked quickly.

It would've actually been really nice to see him, and catch up. I wasn't busy, and he didn't look busy. But (and now it's time to channel the collective opinions of this board) how do I explain to him that I'm in my 30s, have never worked better than a minimum wage, still live with my parents, have long, unbrushed hair, and am a joke to the people on my favourite message board?

It was definitely him, adding on the years since we last spoke. He was with several women, and a couple of young children...one of which he felt the need to hold in his arms. I couldn't understand the need.

I didn't care one way or the other...I didn't know what was wrong with this man...I just didn't feel comfortable with anyone around him. His name was Daniel and he seemed to be a normal, intelligent and responsible young man.

Now I know why I saw myself as such an odd, crazy person.

After a few moments I was alone again, the only sounds around me was the crickets and my own wailing.

There was no doubt about it now. I was going to take the blame for that stupid mess that happened the week before today.

I could see the reflection of the shower in one of the glass windows...I had a long, red ponytail, my hair was a messy black mess
