if i wear a foot wear and not afraid of stubbing my toe i can manage pretty well tbh. i get most of the room layout and permanent fixtures. semi permanent furnitures like chairs or floor fans can be dangerous tho

I have a 4 year old son.

Lego and hotwheels everywhere. I can easily fumble my way around the house blind but the lego makes it more difficult.

How can he practice without fear of dying

I'm extremely good at it, even with "roaming" stuff like chairs. Probably because the way our house was set up when I was a kid, when going to my bedroom at night the light switches were always at the opposite side of the rooms to where I was going. So I would have to turn off each light before walking through each room in the dark to go upstairs.

As an added benefit, if I wake up to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water I never need to turn the lights on, so it's much easier to get back to sleep afterwards.
