This is when it comes to the Terminators themselves.

Since the second film, pretty much every terminator has been the same. Shape-shifting, almost impervious to damage. You had the T-1000, the T-X, the T-3000, and the new guy from Dark Fate. Hardly any variation AT ALL. I don't understand how the teams behind the films can have so few original ideas. Plus, of course, we've now had a second T-1000, and a T-1001. They could've come up with all kinds of cool stuff, but...it's always a humanoid shape-shifting cyborg.

Should stopped after the third film.

Maybe it's coz the audience doesn't want creativity

As a terminator fan I honestly cared way more about the storyline and action than how creative the terminator is. I couldnt care less if they use the same terminator in all the movies.

I'm surprised they haven't changed it up and done more than 1 Terminator per assassination attempt. Clearly the 1 Terminator system isnt working Skynet.

The issue the movies have is that the T-1000 is fucking broken. Skynet should realistically just be sending back T-1000 after T-1000 until its problems are solved, but the filmmakers don't wanna do that for obvious reasons. So you get Terminators that are like the T-1000 except they're a little different.

Imo, Terminator only became popular because of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And the first two were good movies.

Well, it's easier to create lack of creativity than it is to create a surplus of creativity

Its creative when they say:

Ill be back.

and

Come with me if you want to live!

in every sequel.

"Talk to the hand."

The tv show was better than any of the sequels after T2. Plus Summer Glau was fine as fuck and so was Shirley Manson.

Why doesnt Skynet just leave a message for its successors like 100 years in the future asking THEM to send back a Terminator when technology is 100 years more advanced? After all, in the future theres plenty of time.

What is the energy required to send back a T (or a person)? Maybe there are real-world (in the context of the movie) limitations on the process.

In the original movie, I think Skynet was actually losing. It sent a Terminator back as a desperation move.

Later on, the timeline rules became so shaky and the future so malleable that Skynet probably couldn't guarantee that it would be around in a hundred years.

I actually was kidding. My second paragraph was (more) serious though (remembering that we are talking about a movie franchise here).

If we go that route, Skynet could build a secret R&D base on the back of the moon with the instructions of sending back a more advanced Terminator back in time from the far future.
Then it doesnt really matter if the humans defeats Skynet or not, befause a future hightech Terminator will still be made and sent back, changing the timeline.

3-4 different looking Terminators working together, without transformations, could be good.

It really is fucking embarrassing how they use Ill be back and come with me if you want to live in every single movie. Its like theyre not just creatively bankrupt, but theyre proud of it too.
