adjl 10/23/19 3:42:52 PM #2:	Unsurprisingly, IBM, the company that operates the supercomputer that Google claims to have beaten, and a key quantum computer competitor, is disputing Googles claims. In a blog post published pre-emptively on Monday, the company said that the same task could be performed on a classical system in just 2.5 days, rather than the 10,000 years that Google is claiming. That's... not much of a rebuttal. Sure, 2.5 days is significantly less than 10,000 years, but it's still three orders of magnitude (216,000 seconds) slower than Google's result. --- This is my signature.
