*is handed a tube of Coppertone Kids sunscreen*

...

Them: "It contains oxybenzene, which I looked up and is hazardous."

*reads label*

*looks it up*

Me: "So what's in this is called oxybenzone. Sounds similar but it's actually non-hazardous and is pretty much in every sunscreen."

Them: "Okay."

Next week...

Them: "So yeah the professor says that they still think it's hazardous and don't want to touch it. We'll have to get rid of it."

*nods*

*throws it in nearest trash can*

Done.

The moral of the story is that anything is hazardous if you believe hard enough.

Then again I suppose anything's hazardous if it's coming at you at a high enough speed.

Wasn't really willing to demonstrate that, though.

air resistance plays a role.

some things, like individual feathers, physically can't fly at a speed that would make them hazardous.

some things are also too small or too soft (again, most feathers) to do serious harm purely from coming at you at a high speed

I thought this would be a cool story about TC's origins of getting superpowers

He liberally applied Coppertone sunscreen when going to the beach, and then had his swim trunks pulled down by a radioactive stray dog

His butt is now so powerful that he can smash through walls like Juggernaut when he runs backwards

I remember reading a review for a lotion product and the reviewer gave it the lowest score possible because it contained some chemical that is harmful in large quantities, and the tiny amount in the lotion is actually beneficial and was too stupid to read that far whilst googling.
