Took a break from Death Stranding to quickly do my nightmare mode playthrough. I finished my original playthrough earlier this week clocking in around 105 hours, then after rushing through Nightmare mode (although still doing all AP, treasure chests and getting to level 99) my final time was around 121 hours.

I wont be discussing any story here since it's the 8th game in a 9 game epic, but needless to say this is one of the best Trails games out there and worthy of its Infinity War status. The fact that we have to wait possibly a year or more to get Cold Steel IV: The End of Saga in english is the worst thing about this and I need to resist just watching a translated playthrough on youtube to see what happens.

Thanks to the introduction of Brave Orders and the Break system the game is even easier to cheese than any of the past games. Most bosses will never get a turn and Rean can regeneration a max 200 CP very quickly so you can essentially OHKO every battle by the final chapter (and all throughout Nightmare NG+)

Much like Cold Steel 1 and 2 this platinum is mainly getting 100% completion in the Notebook and many of these have a very limited time to get them, but like all Trails games the dialogue of every NPC changes after every single story event so its in your best interest to talk to everyone after anything happens and you'll have no problem finding all the side content.

Checklist is as follows to eventually get everything:
- Beat the game on Nightmare difficulty
- Win 600 fights
- Use all the various battle systems x number of times (brave orders, S crafts, etc)
- Win a battle with 3.0x tactical bonus
- Earn an S-Rank in a single chapter
- 300 advantage encounters
- Max out a battle link with any character
- Raise a Master Quartz to level 7
- Obtain all Master Quartz
- Acquire 1 million Mira
- Get all the Vantage Masters cards
- Get all radio stories and landscape photos
- Boned all your students, coworkers and friends
- Cook all recipes
- Caught all fish
- Became an S-Rank instructor
- Achieved Prestigious academy grade
- Read all books
- Filled character notebook
- Filled bestiary
- Opened every treasure chest
