People who have negative things to say about Cleveland are just boring. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Cleveland, and it has more personality than most mid-large sized cities.

But I can admit now being in Michigan that the rest of the Ohio is kind of bad outside of Cleveland. Akron is trashy but somewhat tolerable. Columbus sucks. Toledo and Youngstown are gross. Cincinatti is the south.

From just driving through it when I checked out liberal arts colleges there back in the day...cant say Id ever go back.

And I think their regional dishes are trash too - at least from Cincy.

This is fairly accurate. Although I think Columbus is nice even if it's a little bland. It's a pretty diverse state as far as culture goes which is nice but also terrible at times.
