No wonder so many people from the UK seem to go and live there.

Australia is good, but it's very hot during summer. I live in the lower half of NSW, and summers can range between 38 - 45+ degrees Celsius.

We also have a churchy bastard as our PM who wants to crack down on protesting laws, a bald hypocrite as our Minister of Home Affairs who acts tough on immigration but who's personally reversed deportation proceedings on au pairs for his rich mates, and a political party headed up by a woman whose claim to fame is saying that the White Australia policy - where we discriminated against any and all non-white races, and made it unreasonably hard for legal immigrants to come to our country based on the colour of their skin - was justified and that we should consider bringing it back.

I would argue we have some of the friendliest people in the world, but we've got fuckwits like the above who are actively trying to sabotage that and make our political situation just as piss-poor as America. You're better off going to New Zealand - that's a welcoming country, at least I think so.
